We Know NOT... If we ASK Not!

Lady Princesses – a few weeks ago you all peppered me with some very thoughtful and thought provoking questions. Well, as promised I reached out to our leadership and here are the answers you seek.

Please feel free to readdress any question you may have regarding these responses. Remember we are about promoting growth – either intellectually, emotionally or spiritually – so whatever you need – YOU must be willing to ask. Bell well – Mrs. Renata

1. If all religions believe theirs is right how do we determine who is right?

a. The main proof of the trueness of the Christian faith is the resurrection. No other religion claims to have a savior who is perfect, spotless and sinless yet lived, died and was resurrected for the sole purpose of saving humanity.

b. Our experience with the Lord is not just a philosophical experience but it’s a personal and relational experience where Jesus comes to live in our hearts. No other religion claims that.

2. What is the difference between Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal etc…?

The main difference is that there are different areas of scriptures that they each emphasize. For instance, Baptist by enlarge emphasize the ritual of baptism. Pentecostals and Charismatic emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit.

Lutherans came out of the Catholic Church due to the insistence by Martin Luther that salvation was by faith alone and not by the man-made rules that the Catholic Church made up. Episcopal came out of the Catholic Church as well but they did not see the Catholic Church as the only true church nor did they esteem the pope as any nearer to God than ordinary men.

Thanks Pastor Kim!!!
