Looking for some FUNdraising Ideas!

Princesses;

When we last spoke we discussed creating a "purity/abstinence" bracelet for the T2C mentoring program. Well we need to start raising funds so that we can order this one-of-a-kind creation in time for Christmas delivery!

There are two ideas I'd like to share, but both will require YOUR FULL commitment, participation and support.

The 1st -- is a Tiara's Trattoria. We will recreate a festive Italian style restaurant right in our very own fellowship hall. (End of July timeframe) We will sell tickets for a scrumptious spaghetti dinner and dessert. This event can raise about $800.

The 2nd -- is a T2C Ice-cream Social. We will again create a light refreshing atmosphere in our fellowship hall and sell ice-cream dessert during a Mid-Summer Evening this coming August. We can probably raise another $500 from that event.


I expect the bracelets to cost around $100 -- so both of these fundraising activities should certainly cover this cost.

We need to get moving!

We will also need to raise funds for some summer outings/trips. The SKY is the limit. You all will decide how high we go!

A Little Disappointed Indeed!

Hello Lady Princesses -- I missed most of you on Saturday. Of the 13 from the previous week only 4 showed up this past Saturday. Could you imagine my angst after having purchased food for 13?

So -- what do you think I should do about that? I'm thinking...maybe we only need to meet once a month.

What I can't do is waste my time or my money.

I'm here/there for you -- I do expect the same courtesy and at a minimum I expect a phone call or email with your regrets for not being able to make the meeting.

This is the 2nd warning about no-shows...no calls. Quite frankly it's rude and unacceptable.

With that said -- I would like to speak with all of you after church next Sunday. If you are reading this blog, like you should be -- you will not be surprised when I ask you all to meet me after church downstairs.

I'll share with you my concerns, my expectations and my plans for moving us forward so that we ALL get the best out of this mentoring group and our meetings.

Princesses: Please make sure you bring your completed applications this Saturday. I can not post the beautiful pictures we take during our meeting without the permission from your parents which is part of the mentoring program application.

Catching Up!

Good Friday Princesses;

I trust your week went well! For those of you in the Plainfield Public Schools I'm sure you are glad the NJASK testing is OVER! I'm believing you all did well, but as the scriptures advises us -- faith without works is dead!

So that leads me to my next subject -- Your GRADES. Pastor has been asking for report cards over the past two months and I would like to see YOURs! Why? You ask... because in order to help you be ALL YOU CAN BE I have to understand exactly where you are across all areas of your life. I've been where you are in terms of academics and my plan and purpose is to help you navigate through any challenges in course work you may be facing.

Please bring your report cards with you to our next meeting on 5/23/09. We'll look at any areas you may need help. We will also create support teams among us whereby we can assist one another in academic areas we do well in and work on areas that need improvement.

A "C" is average but "WE" ARE NOT!!!

My Princess...Wait On ME!

Wait on Me, My princess. My timing is always perfect. I know you’re anxious about many things, and I see your passion for all the plans I have put in your heart. I know that you long to fly, and I see your enthusiasm.

However, just as a vinedresser nurtures the vine and waits patiently for the right moment to harvest the grapes, so too am I working tirelessly to prepare you to bear much fruit. Don’t run ahead of Me or try to fly before My plans are complete. Your strength will fail you, and your dreams will wither away.

Trust Me that My dreams for you are far greater than you can dream on your own. You will run farther and soar higher if you will patiently wait for the season of My blessing. Draw close to me now and I promise that this season of waiting will bring you the sweetest of rewards.

What A Showing!! -- A Mentor's Dozen!!!

Well Princesses -- We did ALL we set out to do this past Saturday. We finished our frames, are moving full speed ahead with our bulletin board remodeling project and I have lots of photos of everyone that I would love to publish...only ONE PROBLEM -- I don't have EVERYONE's T2C Application which gives me permission to post your photo!
